Today’s entry is all things hybrid lights. Now, I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to cover this topic today, because I know the embarrassment it will cause my parents. I recently got a flat tire late in the night driving home; the obvious solution to this dilemma is, “Change your tire.” That’s where the embarrassment factor comes into play: I don’t know how to change a flat tire.
So, I did what any intelligent person of my generation would do, I googled it. My mother threw the Hybrid Solar Expandable Lantern in my car (you can find this item on our website in the Hybrid Lights section) knowing that one day-or night, in this case- it would come in handy. I, of course, laughed at her and said, “Mom, I can just use my phone if I ever need light.” Well, in this particular situation my phone’s battery life was at 4% and naturally, it was the one night I forgot to grab my charger. Thank God mothers are smart. I pulled out the trusty ole lantern and began searching for my tire jack.
Well, long story short, I didn’t have a jack and had to call Roadside Assist. I wish this story had a really cool ending, like, I used my lantern to signal a lost baby deer to its mother after I changed my own tire in the record time of 5.5 minutes. Such is life.
I strongly encourage everyone to consider purchasing our lights to keep in your cars, your loved one’s cars, your home, your boats, your purse–okay that one was a stretch. Listen, I get it, you could go to the dollar store and pick up any old flashlight for a few bucks.
What’s the difference? Our lights are water resistant, full charges last 6-10 hours, you can store it away for 7 years and STILL have a 90% charge, and many of our lights even have a USB outlet to charge your electronic devices. use for those weekend camping trips with the family; our headlamps are great for military service members when you have to spend those long nights out in the field, or even just for those emergency situations.
