Good morning, happy campers! This past week has been crazy here at Out and About Green! First and foremost, we want to apologize for the delay in shipping.
Between the shipping strike and Rhino Rack moving into their new facility, our shipping has been compromised.
The good news is, Rhino Rack has finished moving and has reopened for shipping today, woohoo!! Rhino Rack’s new facility will allow them to house more inventory, which will result in a smoother shipping process.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and we really appreciate your patience!
Now, to the fun part! My mom, President of OAAG, is here visiting me this week.
I may almost be 24 years old, but I miss my mommy! Naturally, right in the dead of summer, our air conditioning has gone out.
Now, in all fairness, I asked my mom if she wanted to visit next week after the A/C is fixed. “Oh please, Madi, I didn’t have AC when I was your age living in my first home,” She said. Here we are, about four days in, and to say she is hating it would be a understatement.
She claims not having A/C is a heck of a lot easier when you’re younger. I’ll take her word for it and let you guys know if that’s true, here in about….30 years, so stay tuned. By the way, if you’re someone who doesn’t use A/C, you are going to find this post very entertaining.
Well, the other night, it was cooler OUTSIDE than it was in my house. My mom happened to have her sportz dome-to-go tent in her car and a blow up mattress (my cat ended up poking a hole in it…but that’s another story) So, she pitched the tent….IN MY DRIVEWAY and slept in it. No, I am not kidding. I wish I would have thought to take a picture, but this is so normal for my family. If my neighbors are reading…I apologize…and the mailman keeps giving me your mail. This is why we love what we do.
We believe in our products and we use them all of the time! They’re easy to assemble and once you have them, you’d be surprised how often you can and WILL use them.
I just moved to Tennessee two years ago and I’m slowly finding new things to do every day. I FINALLY found the Blueway here in Clarksville! It is this awesome, tucked away, little river that you can raft, kayak, canoe, etc. It is the perfect excuse to finally purchase kayaks.
I remember when I first toured Rhino Rack’s warehouse in Denver and I thought the kayak carrier was the coolest thing ever! Okay, let’s be real, I think they’re all cool.
When we went skiing last year, we threw our skies and luggage on the top and that left us so much room inside of the car; we kept wondering how we ever did road trips without it.
We are off to Springfield, MO this weekend for another expo! We will have all of the expo details on our facebook page tomorrow. We like having an online store, but we really love going to these expos and meeting people from all around the world.
We get to introduce our products to so many outdoor enthusiasts and we learn so much from other vendors! Plus, I can’t wait to blog about all of the hilarious things that are bound to happen on our trip.
You’re welcome, in advance.
Our Father’s Day special has been extended to Friday and then Saturday we will start our 4th of July special. We are also working on adding new products to the website and we are SO excited to share those with you all.
